Chef Anna Zamora-Pizzo/Zona Rosa

Anna is the Culinary Director/Executive Chef – Owner of Zona Rosa. Having spent a year in the kitchen, during the birth of the restaurant, she now spends most of her time updating the menu, recipes, cocktails and managing at a top level since the opening.

Zona Rosa serves upscale farm-to-table Mexican Cuisine. Their first location opened in the San Jose Rose Garden in July 2012. Zona Rosa brings a new healthy style of Mexican cuisine to the bay area that neighborhood communities will appreciate and welcome.

Their menu is rooted in the traditions of Mexican cuisine and combine flavors and ingredients in innovative ways that reflect modern Mexico. They specialize in seasonal dishes ensuring that the food is always fresh and new.

Their recipes evolve with their customers and push the boundaries of taste, texture and flavors. All their food is made from scratch. For example, we feature a hand pressed organic blue and yellow corn tortilla. They use fresh locally sourced ingredients in their food and beverages. Many of their recipes are inspired by their respective families and date back several generations steeped in both Mexican and Italian Heritage.
